Whistler Winter Arts Festival

The Whistler Winter Arts Festival is a dynamic two-month program of live music, snow sculpting, film screenings, art and photography exhibitions, and literary soirees, under the sun or under the stars. The 2009 program featured free outdoor performances by world renowned Canadian musicians; storytelling events featuring 2008 Giller prize winner Joseph Boyden – “literally” between the sheets; original short films from BC filmmakers; an exhibition of regional art; and the return of the Canadian Snow Sculpture Team along with three other teams from across the country!

Whistler Fire and Ice Show

7-Eleven Fire and Ice Show
Whistler Blackcomb turns up the heat every Sunday night with the 7-Eleven Fire & Ice Show at 6:30pm at the base of the Whistler Village Gondola. Fire spinners, fire works and Ski and Snowboard school's hottest pros throwing down big air through a ring of fire makes this event a family-friendly must do. After the show, head upstairs to the GLC's notorious Afterburn Party.

Out of Bounds: Tales from the Backcountry

This exciting photography exhibition and competition features photos of skiing and snowboarding in BC’s beautiful backcountry. Check out work from the region’s professional photographers along with new emerging talent from the Sea-to-Sky Corridor and the Lower Mainland. Appleton Rum Peak to Valley Race

A long standing Whistler favourite, the Peak to Valley Race features teams of four racing down Whistler Mountain with the oldest competitors starting first. An awards dinner at the Roundhouse Lodge caps off the festivities. Dates TBA.
